About Me

Elder Carol Johnson-Ford  is originally from Charlottesville Virginia. She is the Visionary, CEO and founder of Affirming Grace a motivational and devotional web stream.  On Face book she is followed in 21 countries and 12 languages with 500+ followers and has over 2700 followers on Twitter But encourages all to follow Jesus.

Through life’s processing she moved to Connecticut in 1999 and become a permanent resident of Bridgeport in 2001.  In July of that year she joined Mt Aery Baptist Church where in October of 2008 she was licensed to Preach. She has served as a teacher in Sunday school and the New Disciples Ministries, coached and facilitated Basketball

She was formerly an Associate Minister at Union Baptist Church-Afton, in Afton, VA. under Pastor Phillip A. Carter. She is the chairperson of the Educational Ministry and assists with the Healthcare Ministry. In addition she enjoys teaching for Sunday School and Bible Study.  She was ordained on July 23, 2016. Currently she is an Elder under Pastor Juanita Harrison at Bethesda Baptist Church in Chesterfield County Virginia where she facilitates  a class in the Training and Enrichment Institute.

She returned to college after the birth of her first grandchild in 2005. In 2007 she graduated from Housatonic Community College with Honors in Business Administration and then attended the University of Bridgeport where in May 2009 she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Cum Laude). She graduated with Honors also from University of Bridgeport in May 2011 with a Masters in Counseling with a Concentration in Human Services.

She is the proud mother of three children grown children and she has also been blessed with six grandchildren. She was married to Allen L. Ford in 2015 and the couple resides in Virginia.

Elder Carol’s favorite scripture is Jer 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”

I thank the Lord for His abundant Grace and Mercy on the journey and for such a time as this! No matter what you heard… she declares she is only a servant who loves Jesus!!

    It was SO nice to see you, though the circumstances weren’t the most favorable…but then again-it was a HOMEGOING CELEBRATION (amen)! As a child/teenager I remember you and its SO AMAZING to see how God has brought you to where he needs you!!! Just seeing you and hearing you speak the word is affirmation that HE IS GOOD…and alive…and WORKING! My goodness I feel so encouraged.
